Irving Elementary is a school of diversity and unity. Set on a spacious campus with large playgrounds and ball fields, this single-floor school is home to about 500 regular and special education students and more than 75 staff members who work with the students at Irving and throughout the District.
Community involvement is key to Irving School's excellence. Parents work as classroom volunteers, leaders of enrichment programs, and partners in every aspect of the school program. Irving's "Parenting for School Success" program draws families who represent a variety of countries and cultural backgrounds, and its PTA sponsors innovate programs that enhance the education of all students.
The diverse Irving community is unified by its mission, vision and values. The staff has dedicated itself to teaching and modeling values essential to student success, including respect, integrity, collaboration and achievement.
Irving School is proud of its success and humbled by the challenges it continues to face. Visitors are always welcome.
